Hatha Yoga Mix (Grreat for beginners)
A variety of traditional Hatha postures that can be tailored to those who are new to the practice and for those seeking to advance their practice. The focus is on pain-free alignment and learning how each pose benefits the body. Special emphasis is placed on both the breath work (pranayama) and the resting pose (savasana). Yogis of all ages and abilities are welcome.

The class focus is the classic Hatha asana and taking time in the asasa to allow the body to find release while incorporating strength building awareness exercises, special focus is placed on savasana.

Beginning Yoga
Students can learn about yoga postures and techniques while opening their minds and bodies. Students leave class feeling balanced and open with a deeper, first-hand understanding of the basic principals and benefits of yoga. These classes are great for all levels.
Yoga for All Levels
The mixed level yoga classes offer something for everyone and are perfect for the yogi who likes variety in his/her practice. Each class is unique, incorporating a blend of yoga styles to open the body and release tension and stress.
Intermediate Yoga
A moderately paced intermediate class which builds strength, stamina, flexibility, and concentration. Continued emphasis on breathing and healthy alignment.
Power Yoga
This is a dynamic vinyasa flow class, where a sun salutation "yoga dance" is combined with standing, kneeling and lunging postures that heat and strengthen the body. Vigorous and sweaty, but accessible to all ages and levels with simple modifications as addressed in class. Students should be able to perform plank (starting push up position), half plank (chataranga) and downward facing dog to participate. It is challenging, but never inclusive of headstand and handstand.
Yoga For Seniors
A class appropriate for the mature student as well as the student with special physical conditions and limitations. This class focuses on postures, breathing, and flexibility. It is designed to combat the effects of aging.
Beginning Core
Tuesday 915a-1030a Core Yoga, seated, prone and supine flow. This is a class that focuses on the 5 functional movements of the core trunk: flexion, extension, hyperextension (backbending), lateral flexion and rotation, all performed from lying down, seated, and prone (frontal lying) body positioning. Relaxing and opening, this class is suitable for all levels and all ages and incorporates the use of a yoga bolster with little to no weight baring into hands and shoulders.
Thursday 915a-1030a Core Yoga, intro to sun salutations and vinyasa. This class teaches surya namaskar, or the sun salutation yoga dance, where each posture is linked with breath to "flow" in a sequence of postures: (1) mountain pose, forward fold to (2) standing forward bend (uttanasana) to (3) half lift standing forward bend, tojump or step back lunges to (3) plank pose (4) half plank chataranga (5) cobra (6) down dog, jumping or stepping forward to top of mat, to (7) chair pose and then back to mountain in order to repeat. This class focuses on core, hip and shoulder strengthening. It is slower moving and more descriptive with posture and directed breath cues than power yoga class.
Back on the Mat
Back on the Mat" is specifically designed for those who have mild-moderate back issues, as well as those who have been away from yoga for awhile and need to have a more gentle practice. This yoga class will focus on hamstring and hip flexibility;back and abdominal strengthening; and balance. In addition,you will learn relaxation exercises and breath work to deepen your body awareness and reduce stress. Proper body mechanics and alignment will be emphasized. Thursday Nights 7:00-8:15 PM (Beginning Level)
Happy Hour Yoga
Transition into an your evening with a hour of gentle yoga flow, energy exercises, breath work and guided relaxation. This class is specifically designed to help you release tension from your body and refocus your mind so that you can be more "present" during the evening hours. The teachings of the 8 limbed Path of Yoga will be introduced. (some yoga experienced helpful)
Yoga for Toning.
Tone your body and clam your mind. Yoga for Toning is Hatha yoga, based on creating strong muscles and firm bodies. It is great for any level of yogi wanting to strengthen their body and practice.
Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini yoga optimizes heart rate variation to combat depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders as well as
improve cardiovascular health. It is an antidote to many of the systemic effects of stress. The rhythmical exercises
of kundalini yoga and Breathwalk are powerful stimulants of endogenous nitric oxide and other chemicals that
interrupt the cascade of stress hormones that do damage to our body and mind.
Sunrise Yoga
This class is offered for those who would like to start their morning off with yoga BEFORE the sun rises setting the TONE for the day. We will begin with mild stretching to wake and warm the muscles. Next we will use specific breath work to energize and prepare the body and mind for a yoga practice followed with savasana. We will end with a short meditation focusing on attention to the breath. Individuals of any level of practice are welcome and encouraged to experience.
Supreme Science Qigong
Qigong is Practiced by an estimated 200 Million people. Qigong is the Mother of Acupuncture & Tai Chi. In this class we will use advanced breathing techniques, meditation and movement to harness Qi or pranayama. The Qi-Energy is so tangible in this Qigong system that experts of yoga and meditation and even practitioners of other styles of Qigong are AMAZED at how strong it is.
Tai Chi for Better Balance
Tai Chi for Better Balance is a gentle form of movement that can keep you fit and flexible into your nineties. It is a simplified and symmetrical form of Tai Chi consisting of just eight forms that have been proven to be the most beneficial, safest and easiest to learn. Tai Chi for Better Balance is open to students with or without previous Tai Chi experience. Studies have shown that Tai Chi for Better Balance can reduce falls in people with balance issues, can reduce blood pressure, and increase mobility in the joints. For these reasons, and because it can be practiced with different adaptations to suit the individual (there is even a chair version!) Tai Chi is widely practiced around the world.
