Power Yoga

This is a dynamic vinyasa flow class, where a sun salutation "yoga dance" is combined with standing, kneeling and lunging postures that heat and strengthen the body. Vigorous and sweaty, but accessible to all ages and levels with simple modifications as addressed in class. Students should be able to perform plank (starting push up position), half plank (chataranga) and downward facing dog to participate. It is challenging, but never inclusive of headstand and handstand.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga optimizes heart rate variation to combat depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders as well as
improve cardiovascular health. It is an antidote to many of the systemic effects of stress. The rhythmical exercises
of kundalini yoga and Breathwalk are powerful stimulants of endogenous nitric oxide and other chemicals that
interrupt the cascade of stress hormones that do damage to our body and mind.

Sunrise Yoga

This class is offered for those who would like to start their morning off with yoga BEFORE the sun rises setting the TONE for the day. We will begin with mild stretching to wake and warm the muscles. Next we will use specific breath work to energize and prepare the body and mind for a yoga practice followed with savasana. We will end with a short meditation focusing on attention to the breath. Individuals of any level of practice are welcome and encouraged to experience.

Supreme Science Qigong

Tai Chi for Better Balance

Tai Chi for Better Balance is a gentle form of movement that can keep you fit and flexible into your nineties. It is a simplified and symmetrical form of Tai Chi consisting of just eight forms that have been proven to be the most beneficial, safest and easiest to learn. Tai Chi for Better Balance is open to students with or without previous Tai Chi experience. Studies have shown that Tai Chi for Better Balance can reduce falls in people with balance issues, can reduce blood pressure, and increase mobility in the joints. For these reasons, and because it can be practiced with different adaptations to suit the individual (there is even a chair version!) Tai Chi is widely practiced around the world.
