Class Description
Discover the transformative power of Neurogenic Yoga™ - a revolutionary technique for healing trauma and reducing stress - combined with the healing vibrations of a Sound Bath! Whether you’re a worried parent, a survivor of trauma, someone battling PTSD, or simply looking to release tension to boost your resilience and overall health, this practice offers profound benefits. Imagine shedding layers of stress without needing to relive past traumas. This gentle, yet powerful technique, based on Dr. David Berceli’s Trauma Releasing Exercises™ (TRE™), enables you to release tension at your own pace, in a safe and controlled environment. Our bodies respond to stress with muscle contractions, in preparation for fight, flight, or freeze responses. Additionally, our nervous system is designed to trigger automatic vibrations or shaking, a natural mechanism often suppressed by societal norms. These vibrations, known as Neurogenic Tremors, are essential for releasing muscle tension, calming the nervous system, and restoring balance. Neurogenic Yoga activates this natural shaking mechanism safely and effectively by using yoga poses to fatigue and lengthen the leg muscles. This process encourages your body to release deep-seated tension, old contraction patterns, and emotional stress, leading to profound relaxation and reduced anxiety. In a Neurogenic Yoga session, you don’t need to revisit the past or understand the origins of your stress. This method gently peels away layers of tension that has been stored in your body at a pace your body can handle, making each session comfortable and easily integrated with you in control at all times. Reported Benefits include: - Release of chronic tension and increase of energy and stamina - Discharge of buried emotional and physical trauma - Decrease of aches and pains - Improved sleep - Improved circulation - Improved mood - Improved sense of feeling grounded and focused Neurogenic Soundbaths are 1.5 hours long and held at 7 pm on the 1st Saturday of every month - please see our calendar for upcoming dates.
