Class Description

What if you could learn practical ways to support your brain health—before a problem becomes a diagnosis? Many of us think about Alzheimer’s disease or Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) as something that happens to other people—or something we don’t need to think about until we’re older or notice changes in our memory. But changes in the brain associated with cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s disease can begin years, and sometimes decades, before noticeable symptoms appear. That may sound concerning, but there is another way to look at it: It creates an opportunity. Join Cheryl Mason, certified Brain Longevity® Specialist through the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation™ and RYT-500 Registered Yoga Teacher, for an inspiring and interactive two-hour workshop exploring the 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention® and practical ways to support healthy brain aging. During this workshop you will: - Learn about the 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention and their role in supporting brain health. - Discover practical lifestyle strategies you can begin incorporating into everyday life. - Experience gentle yoga, including chair options, and a simple stress-management practice you can use at home. - Consider small, realistic steps you can take to support your own brain health. For Cheryl, Brain Longevity is personal. Although she considered herself healthy, discovering that she carries a gene associated with increased risk for Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive decline led her to look differently at her family history—and ultimately inspired her to become a Brain Longevity Specialist. Sometimes we don’t know what we don’t know. You may not be able to control every factor influencing cognitive health, but you can become informed and make choices that support your brain and overall wellbeing. Whether you want to be proactive about healthy aging, have a family history of Alzheimer’s disease or cognitive decline, have been diagnosed with MCI, or simply want to invest in your future brain health, this workshop is an opportunity to begin. Start with knowledge. Build awareness. Take one step. The 2-hour workshop may be taken on its own or as an introduction to the optional 8-week Brain Longevity Series. Your brain is worth taking care of. Start today. More information on day, time, and cost TBA!
