About the event

While traditional yoga offers many benefits, Gentle Somatic Yoga is unique because the focus is neuromuscular re-

education, thereby enhancing the process that strengthens and integrates the brain-to-muscle connection. The more you can voluntarily control your muscles, the more choices you have in your body for everyday activity and the

lifestyle you want to experience.

- Learn how the 3 reflexes identified in Hanna Somatic Education affect our posture and our pain and muscle stiffness.

-Experience slow, mindful movements that enhance and amplify body awareness, unwind stiffness, pain, and

postural imbalances, and dramatically increase flexibility through brain-to-muscle re-education.

Cheryl has been teaching yoga for more than 15 years. She received her RYT200 with Integrative Yoga Therapy and her RYT 300 with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy, where she was blessed to study with a variety of leaders in the yoga therapy arena. Cheryl is a level 3 Gentle Somatic Yoga Practitioner and faculty. Cheryl has been blessed to study with James Knight, a certified Hannah Somatic Educator and the creator of Gentle Somatic Yoga. Gentle Somatic Yoga is a profound way to unlock old patterns of holding stress and pain in our bodies and Cheryl has experienced this freedom in her own body.

This class is suitable for Yoga teachers, bodyworkers, active seniors, and all

yoga students. Yoga Alliance continuing education credit is available for Registered Yoga Teachers.
