Class Description
Join MFA Macie Craven for this experiential series that blends powerful writing and journaling exercises with guided meditations to reconnect with the self, cultivate creativity, and learn new writing skills. These sessions will utilize writing, journaling, and meditation with a central focus on the theme of unity. No writing skills required to participate, only a willingness to connect with your inner-creative! Whether you consider yourself an advanced writer or a beginner, she will guide you through activities prompting self-exploration while allowing time for writing instruction and application, the opportunity to share your writing with the group (not required), and a guided meditation. • Session I: Focuses on creating unity through empathy as we explore characters’ (or self) lived experiences that color our points-of-view. • Session II: Focuses on creating unity through a journal/writing prompt for developing complex characters and understanding narrative disturbance. These sessions are designed to work together or separately – you are welcome to book any or all sessions in this series! Macie Craven holds a MFA in Creative Writing, a bachelor’s degree in design, and is a Reiki Level II.
