Class Description
“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.” – Albert Camus Restorative Yin Yoga may sound like two types of asana that "shouldn't" go together. Yin Yoga is a practice of resilience whereas Restorative Yoga rehearses rest. But this class is specially designed to honor each one. This Restorative Yin Yoga class joins two passive movement practices together to cultivate a state of deep listening, deep rest and relaxation, meditation, introspection, interoception, and reception in yourself. Primarily a Yin Yoga class ending with Restorative Yoga, this class is intentionally designed to bring you into a quieter state of body, mind, and spirit through the pursuit of building resilience and relaxing in restful comfort. This class is an ideal option to learn more about and understand the difference between Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga and how to properly approach and practice each style. “Yoga begins with listening. When we listen, we are giving space to what is.” — Richard Freeman
