Class Descriptions
Yoga Mix
This class includes forward bends, back bends, twists, and balance. Proper alignment is stressed. Some vinysas (connecting breathe and movement) are practiced in class which release stress and promote harmony between body, mind, and spirit.
Sunday Wellness Break
This class is designed as a Spa Experience the Yoga Way. Enjoy the benefits of several soothing and healing modalities. Set the tone with therapeutic essential oils. After thus relaxing your senses, oxygenate and cleanse the blood and respiratory system with ancient yogic breathing techniques, known as Pranayama. Make your muscles and tendons sigh with pleasure using very gentle stretches, then make your whole body and mind relax with lovely supported restorative yoga poses while listening to healing music. Finish with "bliss for the mind," otherwise known as Yoga Nidra, a lovely and deeply beneficial guided rest. Before departing the studio with a new attitude for your week to follow, enjoy a cup of tea. Ahhh.

Beginning Yoga
The slow and soothing class guides students through the standard Hatha yoga positions. Focusing on alignment and personalizing yoga to your needs, every class is slightly different depending on what section of the body the class needs to work on. Amy has an eclectic taste in rock music and, just like the yoga, it is different every time. She leads that class with laughter and a welcoming sense of joy.
Senior Strength / Savasana
low-impact, weight-bearing movements are balanced by gentle stretching and breath work. A long Savasana is the highlight of the whole class. Beginners welcome!

Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness. It utilizes the elements of asana (physical exercise), pranayama (regulation of the breath), and mantra (mind projection). The combination of these three elements is called a Kriya and are put into specific sequences in any particular yoga set. The class format is a tune in mantra, kriya, guided deep relaxation, meditation and closing sunshine song. Kundalini Yoga very effectively taps into your body’s latent source of energy, resulting in an increased sense of well being, helping you create awareness to live a happy, healthy and harmonious life.
